EIA said in its weekly natural gas storage report that the LNG-carrying capacity of vessels departing US ports was 135 Bcf, up 5 Bcf from the previous week.
Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped nine LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent seven shipments during the week ending February 25, according to the report.
Moreover, Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines terminal sent six cargoes, and Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal and the Freeport LNG facility each shipped four cargoes.
Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility shipped three cargoes, and the Cove Point facility and the Elba Island LNG facility each sent one cargo during the week under review.
Henry Hub climbs
EIA reported that the Henry Hub spot price rose by 3 cents per million British thermal units (MMBtu), from $2.98/MMBtu last Wednesday to $3.01/MMBtu this Wednesday.
According to the agency, Henry Hub prices have averaged $3.66/MMBtu so far this February, $3.98/MMBtu lower than last month’s average price.
Total US demand for natural gas increased slightly this week by 9.7 Bcf/d following a 15.8 Bcf/d decrease last week, according to LSEG data.
Colder temperatures in the western United States moderated into warmer weather across Midwest and eastern states, EIA said.
TTF remains unchanged
EIA said that the price at the Dutch Title Transfer Facility in Europe averaged $11.01/MMBtu, remaining unchanged from the previous week.
Moreover, the Japan-Korea Marker price averaged $10.66/MMBtu.
This is 7 cents higher than the previous week, EIA said.
