Singapore’s Pavilion in milestone LNG bunkering op

Temasek-owned Pavilion Energy said it has completed its 100th LNG bunkering operation using the truck-to-ship method in Singapore’s Jurong Port.

The operation included two trucks supplying 34 cbm of LNG to Marine Vicky, owned by Vitol’s V-Bunkers, according to a statement by Pavilion on Thursday.

Pavilion Energy has been supplying fuel to Singapore’s first conventional fuel bunker tanker sailing on LNG since last year.

The firm completed the first LNG bunkering operation using the two-trucks-to-ship operation to the vessel in September 2020.

Vitol and Pavilion have previously signed a supply deal for the vessel.

“We are confident of Singapore’s premier position in serving the growing demand for LNG bunkering – and we remain committed to supporting our customers’ energy transition journey with LNG as a cleaner marine fuel,” Pavilion said.
