Pavilion, Gasum join forces on LNG bunkering

Singapore’s Pavilion Energy and Finland-based Gasum said they will collaborate to develop a global LNG bunkering network for their customers in Singapore and northern Europe.

The duo revealed on Thursday they signed a memorandum of understanding via a virtual ceremony.

Furthermore, they agreed to leverage each other’s LNG infrastructure and supply capabilities to provide global supply points for their customers.

Temasek’s Pavilion is a licensed LNG importer and bunker supplier for Singapore. The firm has already taken several steps as the country looks to become an LNG hub.

On the other side, Gasum has five LNG bunkering vessels in operation and several terminals in the Nordics.

From Far East to northern Europe

Pavilion’s chief executive Frédéric Barnaud said the partnership would provide customers with a wide supply LNG bunkering network for ocean-going vessels sailing between the Far East and northern Europe.

“We will complement this alliance with additional LNG bunkering partnerships in the Mediterranean, North Asia and the Americas,” he said.

Johanna Lamminen, CEO of Gasum said the partnership underlines the firm’s aim to build a world-wide partner network.

“For our customers this means that we will support them with LNG wherever they are,” she said.
