Pakistan floats tender for four spot LNG cargoes

State-owned Pakistan LNG has released a new tender inviting firms to submit bids for a total of four shipments for delivery in July.

Pakistan LNG offered four windows for the cargo deliveries and the tender closes on on June 23, according to a document released on Thursday.

The delivery windows include July 3-4, July 8-9, July 25-26, and July 30-31.

Pakistan LNG is seeking 140,000-cbm cargoes on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis.

Also, the potential tender winner will deliver the cargoes to the FSRU BW Integrity serving Pakistan GasPort’s terminal in Port Qasim, Karachi, or the Energo Elengy facility.

Prior to this tender, Pakistan LNG canceled two tenders due to technical reasons.

The state-owned firm issued several tenders this year as the country looks to secure much-needed supply to fuel its power plants.

However, the spot prices remain very high and they rose this week. The JKM LNG price for August settled at $34.650 per mmBtu on Thursday.
