Peru LNG shipped four cargoes in November

Peru LNG’s 4.45 mtpa liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has shipped four cargoes in November, one shipment less when compared to the month before, according to state-owned Perupetro.

Perupetro’s data shows that all of the shipments in November were sent to the United Kingdom, and the four cargoes equal about 305,772 tonnes.

This compares to five LNG cargoes in the same month last year and 359,820 tonnes.

Peru LNG shipped three LNG cargoes in August and three in September due to issues with feed gas. In October, five LNG shipments departed the facility.

Besides these four cargoes in November, Perupetro’s data shows that the facility also sent one LNG cargo on December 3 to South Korea.

In total, the LNG plant shipped 694 LNG cargoes since 2010, the data shows.

US-based Hunt Oil holds a 50 percent operating stake in the Pampa Melchorita LNG plant, while SK and Marubeni have 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

LNG giant Shell also holds a 20 percent stake and takes all the volumes produced at the facility.
