EIA said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 33 LNG vessels is 126 Bcf.
During the week ending December 10, US LNG plants shipped a record 40 cargoes.
Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped nine LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent five shipments during the week ending December 17, according to the report.
Moreover, Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines terminal sent six shipments, and the Freeport LNG terminal and Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal each shipped four cargoes.
Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility shipped three cargoes, while the Cove Point facility sent two cargoes.
The Elba Island facility did not export LNG during the week under review.
Henry Hub dips
EIA reported that the Henry Hub spot price fell 94 cents from $4.61 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $3.67/MMBtu this Wednesday.
According to the agency, the price of the January 2026 NYMEX contract decreased 57 cents, from $4.595/MMBtu last Wednesday to $4.024/MMBtuthis Wednesday.
The price of the 12-month strip averaging January 2026 through December 2026 futures contracts declined 31 cents to $3.764/MMBtu.
EIA noted that natural gas futures prices have been volatile in December.
TTF averaged $9.37/MMBtu
The agency said that international natural gas futures were mixed this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that weekly average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia decreased 63 cents to a weekly average of $10.22/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Title Transfer Facility (TTF) in the Netherlands increased 13 cents to a weekly average of $9.37/MMBtu.
In the same week last year (week ending December 18, 2024), the prices were $13.78/MMBtu in East Asia and $12.73/MMBtu at TTF, EIA said.
