Eastern Pacific Shipping in 350th LNG bunkering op

Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has completed its 350th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation as the company’s fleet of LNG-powered vessels continues to expand.

The shipping firm said in a social media post on Friday that one of its newest LNG-powered PCTCs, Lake Lugu, was bunkered during the milestone operation.

According to the image above, the 18,500-cbm bunkering vessel, FueLNG Venosa, delivered LNG fuel to the PCTC.

“This accomplishment marks a significant moment in our journey, which began just four years ago with our first LNG bunkering operation,” EPS said.

In December 2024, Singapore’s FueLNG, a joint venture consisting of Shell and Seatrium, and EPS completed a milestone ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation in Singapore.

During the operation, FueLNG Venosa supplied LNG to the LNG dual-fuel PCTC, Lake Shirasagi, at the Raffles Reserve Anchorage in Singapore.

FuelLNG said this marked its 300th STS LNG bunkering in Singapore, and this achievement also coincided with EPS reaching its 300th LNG bunkering operation globally.

EPS completed its first LNG bunkering operation in November 2020, the 50th operation in September 2022, the 100th operation in June 2023, and the 200th operation in May last year.

The company has a large fleet of LNG-powered vessels, including containerships, tankers, bulkers, and PCTCs.

EPS previously said that it has more than 121 LNG dual-fuel vessels in total across segments.
