According to a statement by PipeChina’s LNG terminal management unit on March 4, the company is offering both medium- to long-term and annual service slots for 10 LNG terminals.
PipeChina LNG Terminal Management currently operates eight LNG receiving terminals and is building two more facilities.
This accounts for about one-third of China’s total LNG receiving capacity. China is the world’s largest LNG importer.
The operational terminals are Dalian, Tianjin, Zhangzhou, Yuedong, Shenzhen, Beihai, Fangchenggang, and Hainan, while the under construction facilities are Longkou and Diefubei.
PipeChina LNG Terminal Management said the operational terminals are accepting bids for yearly service slots from April 2025 to March 2026.
Also, the terminals are accepting bids for medium- to long-term slots ranging from three to 20 years, starting as early as April 2025.
The company said that the Longkou and Diefubei LNG terminals will offer presale slots starting in July and October 2025, respectively.
In addition, PipeChina LNG Terminal Management is offering bonded storage access at its Dalian, Tianjin, and Hainan terminals.
The firm said that Dalian LNG has one 160,000-cbm bonded tank, Hainan LNG has two 160,000-ccbm bonded tanks, and Tianjin LNG has one 220,000-cbm, all of which are capable of providing medium- to long-term and annual services for bonded transshipment.
PipeChina LNG Terminal Management said interested parties can submit their applications during March 4-17.
After that, PipeChina will review the applications during March 18-19 and notify applicants of the results during March 20-21.
PipeChina’s unit said the signing of the terminal use agreements must be completed by March 31.
