Singapore is seeking proposals to issue up to two new LNG bunkering licences to support growing demand for LNG as fuel in the country.
There are currently two licensed LNG bunkering suppliers in the Port of Singapore.
The first is FueLNG, a venture between Keppel O&M and Shell, and the second is Pavilion.
To add new suppliers, Singapore’s MPA launched a request for proposal for parties seeking to supply LNG in the port.
Additionally, the closing date for submission of proposals to MPA is December 15.
A proposal must contain an end-to-end LNG bunkering solution, which should include details about its LNG supply and delivery model.
The submission must also include LNG sources and its marketing plan for the sale of LNG bunker, the port authority said.
MPA plans to announce the award of new LNG bunker supplier licence(s), if any, by February 2021.
