Four players submit lowest bids in Pakistan LNG tender

Four international firms have submitted the lowest bids in a tender to supply Pakistan with eight spot LNG cargoes over the April-June period.

To remind, the state-owned Pakistan LNG launched the tender on March 20 with eight delivery windows.

Twelve companies took part in the tender. Eni submitted the lowest offers for three cargoes, QP Trading and PetroChina two, each, while Vitol Bahrain placed the lowest offer for one cargo, Pakistan LNG’s evaluation report dated March 30 shows.

Moreover, the report says that Italy’s Eni submitted the most competitive bids for the April 30 delivery, May 26-27, and June 18-19. Eni offered the same price of $6.7000/MMBtu for all the deliveries.

Qatar Petroleum’s trading unit would deliver one cargo on May 11-12 with a price tag of $6.8250/MMBtu and the second on May 16-17 priced at $6.9250/MMBtu, according to the report.

State-owned PetroChina submitted the lowest bid for the June 8-9 window priced at $6.8350/MMBtu and the second on June 27-28 priced at $6.8850/MMBtu.

Furthermore, trader Vitol’s Bahrain unit would deliver a shipment on May 31 with a price tag of $6.7832/MMBtu, the report said.
