Floating LNG player Golar LNG made changes to its board of directors at its annual general meeting on Tuesday.
According to a statement by Golar, five directors of the company were re-elected during the AGM, which was held in Hamilton, Bermuda.
The re-elected directors are Tor Olav Trøim, Daniel W. Rabun, Carl E. Steen, Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen, and Lori Wheeler Naess.
In addition, Golar welcomed two new directors after Georgina Sousa and Thorleif Egeli retired from Golar’s board of directors following two decades of combined service to the company.
Golar welcomed Benoît de la Fouchardiere and Mi Hong Yoon to its board.
“Both have already contributed to Golar’s success – in the case of Benoît, through his part in contracting FLNG Hilli in Cameroon; and in the case of Mi Hong – through her role as company secretary,” Golar said.
The company added that it looks forward to benefiting from their relevant and extensive experience as it seeks to grow its FLNG offering.
Pan American Energy, Golar LNG, YPF, Pampa Energia, and Harbour Energy recently took a final investment decision for the Southern Energy floating LNG export project in Argentina.
Under a 20-year charter deal, the FLNG Hilli will work for Southern Energy (SESA) offshore Argentina.
In addition, Golar and SESA have signed definitive agreements for a 20-year charter for the MKII FLNG, currently under conversion at CIMC Raffles shipyard in Yantai, China.
This charter remains subject to FID.
