Energy giant Shell is continuing to grow its LNG fueling network for road transport and it has opened its first station in France.
Located in Mionnay in eastern France, the station is the first of seven Shell is planning to build in the country by 2023.
The site covers an area of 4,000 m² and includes two pumps and three tracks.
Furthermore, Shell is planning several more LNG stations for heavy-duty transport throughout Europe and it recently opened its first station in Poland.
The Hague-based firm is building a network of LNG stations in Europe as part of the BioLNG EuroNet consortium.
The consortium will build in total 39 LNG refueling sites in Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Spain.
