Malaysia’s Serba Dinamik wins Bintulu LNG gig

A unit of Malaysia’s Serba Dinamik has won a contract for the Petronas-operated Bintulu LNG export complex in Sarawak.

The term contract includes maintenances services for the rotating equipment at the LNG complex, Serba Dinamik said on Tuesday.

Malaysia LNG, a unit of Petronas but also the operator of the giant 30 mtpa LNG complex awarded the contract.

In addition, Serba Dinamik has already started work on February 19 and expects to complete the project by September 2022.

The Malaysian firm did not disclose financial details as the contract is on a “call-out” basis.

Serbia explained this means that the work orders would be “awarded at the discretion of the client based on their activities’ schedules and rates throughout the duration of the respective contract.”

Worth mentioning here, Malaysia LNG also recently signed a power purchase deal with Sarawak Energy.

Under the deal, a unit of Sarawak Energy will provide 90 megawatts of electricity supply at 275kV to the LNG complex from March 2024 for a term of 20 years.
