Gasum opens new LNG filling station in Norway

Finland’s Gasum, in a partnership with retail chain Coop, has launched a new LNG and CNG filling station in Norway.

Located in Trondheim municipality, the station has an “ideal location” in the middle of Heggstadmoen logistic hub for heavy-duty traffic, Gasum said in a statement.

This location integrates Gasum’s gas filling station network in the Oslo region together with northern parts of Sweden such as Ostersund and Umea, it said.

LNG Prime reported on this station earlier this year.

The new station would serve both logistic companies operating in the region and long-haul traffic from Oslo through Trondheim all the way to Sweden, according to Gasum.

It is part of a cooperation between Gasum and Norwegian retail chain Coop.

Coop will use it as well to supply renewable biogas for its transport partners and help reduce emissions from heavy transports.
