HAM launches new LNG station in Spain

Spain’s HAM Group is continuing to invest in LNG fueling stations for trucks and has opened a new facility in Benavente, Zamora.

Besides LNG, the new station in northwest Spain also offers compressed natural gas (CNG).

The station, designed and built by HAM Criogenica, has two LNG dispensers to refuel trucks and heavy vehicles, and two CNG dispensers to refuel cars, light vehicles, and trucks, HAM said in a statement.

According to HAM, this service station replaces its mobile unit that provided service near this new location.

“We continue to bet on CNG, LNG, and biomethane, as real sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels, helping to reduce polluting emissions and respecting the environment,” it said.

HAM has a network of more than 115 service stations, located on the main transport routes in Spain and the rest of Europe.

HAM is also expanding its business in Peru with the purchase of a 40 percent stake in Peru’s Limagas Movilidad.

The firm plans to build a network of LNG fueling stations for vehicles in Peru.
