The company has agreed to convert the time charter for Mount Bandeira at a rate of approximately $38,000 per day, gross, from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
In addition, the vessel will continue to earn scrubber benefits according to the terms of the existing time charter agreement, Himalaya said on Tuesday.
Himalaya did not provide further details.
From October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, the company has five vessels fixed at
an average rate of approximately $35,800 per day, gross, it said.
Before this, Himalaya converted the index-linked charters to fixed-rate time charters for two of its LNG-powered Newcastlemax bulk carriers in August.
The company has 12 LNG-powered Newcastlemax bulk carriers in its fleet.
In June 2024, China’s New Times delivered Himalaya’s final bulk carrier, Mount Emai.
In August, Himalaya achieved average time charter equivalent earnings of approximately $36,700 per day, gross, including average daily scrubber benefits on twelve vessels of approximately $1,300 per day.
The company’s six vessels trading on fixed time charters earned approximately $35,300 per day, gross, including average daily scrubber benefits, while its six vessels trading on index-linked time charters earned approximately $38,100 per day, gross, including average daily scrubber benefits.
