1) LNG giant Shell is the latest international firm to join QatarEnergy’s huge LNG expansion project, which will boost Qatar’s LNG export capacity by 32 million tons per annum.

2) Energy firm Uniper confirmed on Monday that it expects to commission Germany’s first LNG import terminal in Wilhelmshaven this winter, as the country looks to cut reliance on Russian gas.

3) Italian energy firm Snam has purchased BW LNG’s 2015-built FSRU BW Singapore for $400 million, as part of Italy’s plans to reduce reliance on Russian gas and strengthen energy security.

4) South Korean shipbuilders Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Samho Heavy have won orders to build in total ten LNG carriers worth about $2.2 billion.

5) Hyundai Samho has terminated contracts for three LNG carriers the shipbuilder won last year from a Liberia-based owner and signed new deals with a firm based in Oceania, according to its parent Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering.
