H2G Green’s unit launches new LNG facility in Singapore

H2G Green's unit GasHubUnited has completed and commissioned a new LNG facility for a "large-scale laundry provider" in Singapore.

H2G Green said in a statement on Tuesday that the unnamed laundry provider specializes in large-scale solutions for hotels and serviced apartments in Singapore.

Operating with over 12,000 square meters of production floor across three plants, it processes over 100 tonnes of laundry daily, including linens and uniforms, according to the firm.

The new LNG facility, designed, constructed, and commissioned by GasHub, will substantially support the laundry provider’s need for thermal energy (steam) for one of its three plants, H2G Green said.

Both parties continue to explore how the capacity of the LNG facility can be further expanded to support the laundry provider’s increasing needs, the company said.

H2G Green did not provide further details.

In September last year, GasHub completed and commissioned one of its largest LNG facilities to date, built for a “leading food and beverage (F&B) manufacturer” in Singapore.

During the same month, H2G Green formed a new unit which will focus on the supply and trading of LNG and hydrogen-related products to users across the region.

H2G Clean Energy will be principally engaged in the supply and trading of LNG, hydrogen-related products, and other “clean energy” products to users such as power plants across the region, leveraging on the commercial networks of H2G.

The company noted that its 52.03 percent-owned subsidiary GasHub had in July last year entered into two non-binding memoranda of understanding to undertake two LNG projects in the Philippines.

These include the conversion and upgrading of a diesel-fueled 24 megawatts (MW) power barge to a natural gas-fueled power barge with an increased capacity of 32 MW and the provision of an LNG floating storage unit and an onshore facility for the purpose of regasification and cold energy recovery for a 300 MW LNG power plant.
