Singapore’s first and only LNG import terminal on Jurong Island has marked another milestone since it started operations seven years ago.
Earlier this year, the facility received its 320 shipment cementing its position as a regional LNG hub.
On top of that, the SLNG terminal said in its latest statement it crossed the 100th gas-up/cool-down (GUCD) milestone on November 28.
SLNG completed the 101st operation on the recently delivered 174,000-cbm GasLog Georgetown, chartered by US exporter Cheniere.
Furthermore, ExxonMobil LNG, a unit of the energy giant ExxonMobil, supplied the fuel for this milestone operation, it said.
Singapore’s LNG terminal currently operates with four tanks for a total storage capacity of 800,000 cubic meters.
The facility features two jetties able to accommodate the world’s largest LNG tankers.
The second jetty is able to receive and reload small LNG ships of up to 10,000 cubic meters in capacity.
The terminal also has a third jetty designed for 10,000-40,000 cbm LNG carriers but only with civil structure completed.
