Croatian FSRU gets 150th LNG cargo

Croatia’s FSRU-based LNG terminal on the island of Krk has received its 150th cargo since operations began in January 2021.

The 2022-built 174,000-cbm LNG carrier, BW Cassia, delivered the cargo to the 140,000-cbm FSRU on July 6, according to state-owned LNG Croatia.

LNG Croatia did not provide further details.

According to BW Cassia’s AIS data, the vessel, which is chartered by BP, delivered the shipment from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana.

Based on LNG Croatia’s data, this is the 17th LNG shipment for the FSRU in 2026.

The FSRU mainly receives US LNG cargoes, but this year it also received its first LNG shipment from the BP-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG project offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

LNG Croatia’s website shows that the Krk LNG terminal has shipped more than 12.84 billion cubic meters of natural gas into the Croatian system since 2021.

It also completed 600 ship-to-truck LNG reload operations.

In November 2025, LNG Croatia boosted the capacity of its FSRU-based LNG import terminal on the island of Krk with the commissioning of a new regasification module.

The new regasification module comprises one train with a maximum natural gas sendout of 250,000 cbm per hour.

The total maximum capacity of the LNG terminal was thus increased from 3.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas to 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
