Croatian FSRU receives new US LNG cargo

Croatia’s FSRU-based LNG import facility on the island of Krk has received another shipment from the US, its 23rd LNG shipment since the start of operations in January last year.

State-owned operator LNG Croatia said the 174,000-cbm vessel Qogir arrived at the 140,000-cbm FSRU on February 16.

It did not provide any additional information.

The 2020-built vessel, owned by TMS Cardiff Gas and chartered by TotalEnergies, previously loaded the cargo at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana, its AIS data provided by VesselsValue shows.

This is the 15th US LNG cargo the Croatian FSRU has received since the start of operations.

Prior to this shipment, the Croatian FSRU received a cargo from the Elba Island LNG terminal in the US.

Croatia’s LNG terminal has the capacity to send up to 2.6 bcm per year of natural gas into the national grid.

MET, Hungary’s MFGK, and Qatar’s PowerGlobe have booked almost all of the volumes at the Krk facility for the next two years.
